What our participants said
It has been three intense days full of interesting discussions with my fellow peers and our facilitator.
Highly recommend to managers who want to accelerate their development. We went through:
🙌 practical and hands-on exercises
👊 actually doing work we’ll be doing day to day
💎 with constructive feedback as we go through
Stavros Ouzounis
Sales Manager, Scandit (Switzerland)
I cannot recommend this bootcamp enough for new managers.
🏋♀️ The bootcamp was very practical and hands on, making sure you could put your learnings into practice at every step.
🧠 Every day there was something new I learnt that I can put into practise straight away.
👩🏫 I met a great group of people! We all had different experiences and it was great learning from them with their different perspectives and approaches.
Shannen Smyth
Tech Lead, ScreenCloud (Ireland)
It went beyond surface-level concepts, and I can confidently say that it was a game-changer for me.
It's one thing to understand a concept in theory, but actually putting it into practice is a whole different ballgame. By participating in various exercises, I was able to build my confidence and develop my leadership abilities in a real-world setting, alongside an amazing cohort
Sarah Sheperd
UX Research Lead, Fonoa (Spain)
Reasons I would recommend the program:
1. The care and attention invested in the program contents is abundantly clear. The balance and organisation of activities was phenomenal—you won't believe what's possible for a virtual training.
2. This program gives people the opportunity to see themselves as leaders—maybe for the first time—and deepen awareness of their strengths and growth areas, which can be quite powerful. The live coaching aspect throughout allowed me to “record” improvement as I made progress through it, which is a brilliant way to reinforce learnings and reset habits.
3. There's simply no way you'll walk away without learning something that is *immediately applicable* to your real work-life. If that isn't worth it, I don't know what is.
Mikaila Reed
Sr. People & Culture Partner, MUI (UK)
I'm coming out of a 3-days learning journey I would label as INTENSE.
Role-play with professional actors is DAMN HARD!! I always deemed role-play as ineffective because it's hard to recreate real conditions. Until I started shaking and sweating because the actor facilitators were so damn good at recreating those real-life scenarios. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Being in a "room" with people that are smarter than you will feel uncomfortable. But (hopefully) those will also be the people who will create (intentionally or unintentionally) the conditions for everyone to feel safe. That was the case for me.
Lavinia Mehedintu
Co-founder, Offbeat (Romania)
Here are my favourite things:
🧜♀️ Immersive practicality vs. presentations and hypothesising
🌳 Grounded in reality vs. an idealist and unrealistic manager setting
💜 Honest and fun vs. holding back from learning and not making real connections
Highly recommend it to any managers who want to multiply their impact or People people looking for a space to think about the management culture and approach in start-up environments 🙌🏻
